The Siemens SIMATIC S7-1500 DI 32x24VDC HF provides 32 digital inputs arranged in groups of 16 for processing standard 24 V DC signals from industrial sensors and switching devices. The inputs use the IEC 61131 Type 3 characteristic, recognizing a signal “0” from −30 to +5 V and a signal “1” from +11 to +30 V. Input delays can be parameterized to 0.05, 0.1, 0.4, 1.6, 3.2, 12.8, or 20 ms, allowing flexible response characteristics for different machine and process signals. Two inputs can be used as counters with a maximum frequency of 6 kHz, while gate start/stop and freely usable digital-input functions are also supported.
The module provides advanced diagnostic and system functions including isochronous mode, prioritized startup, MSI, hardware interrupts, supply-voltage monitoring, and wire-break detection.
