2. Overhead Gantry Crane Instructor and Instructor Refresher Course

Our Overhead Gantry Crane Instructor Course is designed for experienced crane operators selected to become in-house trainers. Over three intensive days, candidates are coached on delivering both theory and practical modules, including use of a full presentation pack, demonstration tasks, and assessment techniques.

For those already certified as instructors, our Refresher Training (1 day) ensures skills remain sharp and aligned with current regulations and best practices.

Course Content & Structure

Overhead Gantry Crane Instructor Course (3 Days)

Over three days, participants will cover:

Day 1 — Operator Course Delivery & Fundamentals

  • Delivering the Overhead Gantry Crane Operator course (the same modules the trainees will later receive)

  • Health & Safety legislation relating to lifting operations

  • Employer and operator responsibilities under Irish law

  • Overhead Gantry Crane types, classifications and usage

  • Safe operation principles, including overloading and shock loading

  • Hazard and risk identification specific to gantry cranes

  • Pre- and post-use inspections (crane and accessories)

  • Use of lifting equipment and accessory safety

  • Maintenance best practices

Day 2 — Lifting Equipment & Rigging Focus

  • Centre of gravity calculations and load assessment

3. Fire Safety Instructor

In today’s regulatory climate, organisations in Ireland must ensure employees are well trained to prevent and respond to fire emergencies. Under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, employers have a duty to provide appropriate training to employees (including fire safety, evacuation and fire‐fighting) as part of their health & safety obligations.

Becoming a certified Fire Safety Instructor enables you to deliver in-house fire safety training (fire warden / marshal, extinguisher use, evacuation drills) across a range of sectors, ensuring compliance with Irish fire safety law and best practice.

4. Forklift Instructor Course – RTITB

5. Ladder Inspection Course in Ireland

The Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) Instructor Course is a 4-day professional training programme designed to qualify experienced operators and trainers to deliver certified MEWP Operator Training. This course equips participants with the skills, technical knowledge, and instructional ability required to safely train others in the use of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms, including Scissor Lifts, Boom Lifts, and Vehicle-Mounted Platforms.
