The Rosemount 5300 Series Level Transmitter utilizes advanced Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) technology, where low-power microwave pulses travel along a probe and reflect back when they encounter a change in dielectric constant. This allows precise level and interface detection regardless of variations in density, viscosity, temperature, or pressure. The transmitter offers excellent accuracy (±3 mm) and repeatability (±1 mm), with measurement capability up to 164 ft (50 m). It operates in extreme environments with temperatures ranging from -196°C to 400°C and pressures up to 5000 psi (345 bar), making it suitable for harsh industrial conditions.
In addition, the transmitter features Direct Switch Technology (DST), which improves signal strength and signal-to-noise ratio, enabling reliable measurement even in challenging applications such as turbulence, vapor, foam, and low dielectric media.
