Description
The ProSoft ILX69-PBM is a PROFIBUS DPV1 Master Communication Module that acts as an input/output module between a PROFIBUS network and a CompactLogix™ processor, supporting complete Master specifications according to IEC 61158. It allows the PLC to communicate with up to 125 PROFIBUS slave devices, handling both cyclic I/O data and acyclic DPV1 messaging for diagnostics, parameterization, and asset management.
The module integrates directly into Studio 5000/RSLogix 5000 using an Add-on Instruction (AOI) or sample ladder logic, reducing commissioning time. Its Autoscan feature automatically scans the PROFIBUS network and uploads slave addresses and configuration data, while ComDTM support enables remote Ethernet connectivity for asset management software. An onboard SD card slot allows configuration backup and firmware updates without requiring a 1769 CPU connection.
