The Rosemount 8732E Flow Transmitter operates using electromagnetic flow measurement principles, where a magnetic field is applied to a conductive fluid and the induced voltage is measured to determine flow rate. It supports flow velocities from 0.01 to 12 m/s (0.04 to 39 ft/s) in both forward and reverse directions, ensuring precise measurement across a wide range of process conditions. The transmitter requires a minimum fluid conductivity of 5 µS/cm and is compatible with a wide range of flowtube sensors including Rosemount 8705, 8711, and 8721 series, as well as other manufacturers’ sensors.
