Description

The Dräger Sensor PID HC (6813475) is a genuine Drager photoionization detector for measuring volatile organic compounds in ambient air. The sensor uses a 10.6 eV krypton UV lamp and is designed for broadband VOC measurement with a measuring range of 0–2,000 ppm i-butene.

The sensor’s resolution is concentration-dependent. Drager specifies 100 ppb from 0–20 ppm, 200 ppb above 20–50 ppm, 500 ppb above 50–100 ppm, 1 ppm above 100–200 ppm, 2 ppm above 200–500 ppm, 5 ppm above 500–1,000 ppm, and 10 ppm above 1,000–2,000 ppm, using i-butene as the reference gas.

Drager specifies a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.3 ppm i-butene / 0.15 ppm benzene and a limit of quantification (LOQ) of 4 ppm i-butene / 2 ppm benzene. The expected sensor lifetime is more than two years.

The Drager Sensor PID HC (6813475) is compatible with the Drager X-am 8000. Drager also identifies the sensor in its PID sensor technology information for a wide range of measurable hazardous substances.
