Description
The Dräger Sensor CatEx SR (6851900) is an original Dräger catalytic sensor for detecting combustible gases and vapors. Its factory setting is methane (CH4), while the sensor can also be configured for other measuring gases depending on the compatible instrument and application. Dräger identifies gases including propane, pentane, nonane, hydrogen and other gases as configurable options.
For combustible gases, the sensor provides measurement in the 0–100 %LEL range. When configured for methane, it additionally supports measurement in the 0–5 Vol.% CH4 range. The current Dräger product information specifies 1 %LEL resolution and 0.05 Vol.% CH4 resolution.
The Shock-Resistant (SR) construction provides increased mechanical robustness, making the sensor suitable for demanding field applications. Dräger also specifies very fast response, good vapor measurement capability, and high resistance to sensor poisons such as H₂S and siloxanes.
