Description
The Siemens SIMATIC S7-1200 SM 1231 AI 8×16 bit RTD provides 8 analog inputs for resistance thermometer and resistance measurement. Supported sensor types include Pt10, Pt50, Pt100, Pt200, Pt500, Pt1000, Ni100, Ni120, Ni200, Ni500, Ni1000, Cu10, Cu50, Cu100 and LG-Ni1000. Resistance measurement is supported in 0–150 Ω, 0–300 Ω and 0–600 Ω ranges. The module offers a maximum resolution of 15 bits plus sign and allows temperature values to be represented in degrees Celsius or degrees Fahrenheit.
The module uses an integrating measurement principle and supports 2-wire, 3-wire and 4-wire RTD connections. It provides 85 dB interference-voltage suppression at 50/60/400 Hz, 120 dB minimum common-mode interference suppression, and diagnostics including supply-voltage monitoring and wire-break detection.
