Description
The Rosemount Model 3900 pH/ORP Sensor is engineered with a durable polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) body and a double junction reference system that significantly improves resistance to reference poisoning from ions such as chlorine, ammonia, sulfides, and cyanides. It uses a porous Teflon® junction and advanced glass formulations to enhance measurement stability and extend operational life even in aggressive chemical conditions. The sensor supports a wide operating temperature range from -10°C to 100°C and can withstand pressures up to 100 psig (790 kPa absolute at 100°C), making it suitable for pipelines, open tanks, and submerged applications.
In addition, the 3900 series is designed for installation flexibility with ¾-inch and 1-inch MNPT process connections and both front- and rear-facing mounting options. It integrates SMART-enabled diagnostics and optional integral preamplifiers for improved signal integrity over long cable distances.
