The ProSoft MVI56E-GSC is a Generic ASCII Serial Enhanced Communication Module that gives Rockwell Automation ControlLogix® processors a fast, easy way to add two fully configurable serial communication ports without consuming the processor's front port or processing time. It's designed to interface with serial devices using non-specific ASCII character text string or byte value communication protocols, such as bar code scanners, weigh scales, printers, and other legacy ASCII-based equipment.
